John is also a Gospel, but his story is so different. The Gospel according to John focuses on the secret and pinpointing of Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
Acts of the Apostles
Acts of the Apostles believed to be written by Luke. The Acts Apostles talk about Jesus Christ, Acts started to talk about the resurrection, when the early disciples are commissioned to witness to the world. Acts is a sequential history of the first church of Christ led by Paul.
The Epistles
The 21 books following Acts are epistles, or letters, written by Paul to church leaders in various parts of the world. The first fourteen of these letters are called the “Epistles of Paul” and are letters that tradition has accorded to St. Paul in his correspondence with the earliest churches. The other seven letters are called the Catholic Epistles, because they are addressed to the church as a whole.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:52-54 (KJV)
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”
1 TIMOTHY 4:1 (KJV)
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
MATTHEW 24:21 (KJV)
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
“And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.”
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
